Van Isle 3D Printing is a retail/wholesale manufacturing business specializing in Automotive/Aerospace & Marine manufactured products and custom 3D printed product displays/direct marketing products and West Coast themed products.
XYZ Design Plastics is the original start up company in the additive manufacturing industry that specializes in 3D printing prototyping services and production run products. We have over 20 years of experience in the plastic/metal fabrication/manufacturing industry. Our team is highly skilled and experienced in all aspects of the fabrication process. With 12+ years being with 3D printing, prototyping and 9 years in injection molding and assembly.
We offer a variety of 3D printing services, including prototyping, small-batch production, and custom design services. We also offer metal CNC manufacturing for the Marine, Aerospace and Automotive industries. Electrical wiring and harness applications.
Our West Coast Wildlife Critters products are always made with a plant-based materials called PLA (polylactic acid) which is made from fermented plant starch of corn, sugarcane, beet pulp and others. In our other applications we use a wide range of plant based environmentally friendly materials, sourced from Polymaker & Matter 3D including;
Our team can help you determine which material is best suited for your specific project.
Yes it is. The manufacturing process of PLA filament produces significantly less greenhouse gas emissions in comparison to petro-based plastics. We maintain a strict recycling process for all of our scaps and failed prints and use them in many other fabrication projects.
No. PLA itself is a non-toxic material and the filament we use (which is colored) is RoHS compliant. Unlike petro-based plastics, PLA is biodegradable under the right conditions and can be composted without producing any toxic material. We also go a step further during our production process by using an all metal (stainless & titanium) extrusion system to ensure no external toxins are added to our products.
No. The materials we use in manufacturing that are produced as "Food Safe" are safe for contact only; 3D printed products cannot currently be certified as food safe in Canada due to the risk of bacteria buildup between the micro layers over time.
Size is endless, with standard sizes such as 10" cubed and 12" cubed we also can manufacture life size products with some assembly required! a 9 foot tall T-Rex skeleton for example.
